Why Volunteer?

The Pittsburgh Chapter has a diverse group of volunteers that include Supply Chain leaders, professionals, academicians, consultants, retirees, young professionals, and students. Our common thread is their commitment to managing an organization that delivering resources that enhance the professional development of fellow Supply Chain professionals.

But volunteering isn’t just about giving of your time and resources. You will benefit from your service, as will your employer through developing and practicing effective leadership and management skills. Also, you can gain certification maintenance points from the following;

• Contribute articles or content to the Chapter Newsletter or Website
• Speak at or Host a Professional Development meeting
• Participate in APICS formal mentorship program
• Volunteering on the Board of Directors
• Chair a committee

• Participate in a Chapter committee
